Nicole grew up in Omemee, which is a small town in the City of Kawartha Lakes. She attended UOIT (now called Ontario Tech University) where she received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. In her final year of her undergraduate Nicole had the opportunity to do an internship in Athletic Therapy, where she sparked a passion for sports medicine and injuries. She went on to attend the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto to achieve her Doctor of Naturopathy degree.
Nicole was on a fertility focused shift during her internship year at CCNM. The shift added experience working with PMS, menopause, fertility, postpartum support, and overall hormonal health. Nicole’s background in kinesiology and health promotion has given her a passion for sports injuries, chronic pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, post-surgical pain, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue.
Nicole assesses each case on an individual basis and prepares customized treatment plans to treat the root cause of disease. Treatments may include but are not limited to: botanicals, acupuncture/cosmetic acupuncture, and nutrition. In addition, Nicole has achieved her prescribing license through CONO giving her the ability to prescribe bio-identical hormones, B12 injections, vitamin D injections etc.
Nicole grew up playing competitive sports, including hockey, rugby, volleyball and track and field. In her spare time, she enjoys playing sports for fun, running with her dog, baking, and reading a good thriller book.
